Change has never been a big area of life for me.
I enjoy staying with what I know.
It’s the way I have been all of my life. While I find a majority of security in process & structure, that isn’t the prime motivating factor when change looms on the horizon. I guess it simply is that I am afraid of modern stuff on a particular level. That lead me to resist change in general. But periodically, it’s just time to put aside my fears & get done whatever needs to be done. I was faced with that this year. As we all are faced with many fluctuations wrought by the pandemic, the economic impact was quite deep in our house. My wife lost her full time task. I am working from the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C comfort of home. But, we still had all the bills to pay & teenagers to raise. Thus, I chose to go after a change I should have made some years ago. I got serious about saving all I could on the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C costs. The heating in our section makes it so the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C cooling runs at least 7 to 12 weeks out of the year. However, the Summer weeks get truly fancy. Mostly because we have overly cooled our home during the afternoon. Not this year, with all of us at home, I took aim right at the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C setting. That thing got pushed up as the heat of the afternoon had peaked. All of us just dealt with it. Honestly, the fans we used made it totally doable. Sure, it was a bit warmer, however not anything we couldn’t handle. And we kept it up throughout the entire summer season.
